Danielle and Nick were the winners of my Love Story Engagement Contest back in January. Their story was too cute to pass up, and the way Danielle narrated it, it really struck a chord with me. I feel I shouldn't post her entire story word for word, but I would like to share the general story. After having her marriage to her high school sweetheart end due to events out of her control, she was devastated. All of her hopes and dreams of the future she had imagined were shattered right before her very eyes, and so she decided to take some much needed time to focus on herself and rebuild her life. Meanwhile, her mother had met the perfect man for her. It took some weeks of convincing, and some help from her friends, but she finally agreed to meet him. They hit it off right away, and the rest is history. To use Danielle's words, "I guess sometimes, Mom really does know best!"! I love how her mother was looking out for her! I'm not sure which part of their love story spoke to me the most, the beauty she has found when she once thought all was lost, or the fact that her mother knew her daughter so well that she found the perfect match. Regardless of which part moved me the most, they share something very special together, and I'm glad I was given the opportunity to meet them, and be part of their happily ever after.
While we were planning their session, Danielle told me Nick enjoys working with his hands and building things from pallet wood. I chose Carolina Home and Garden as their location because I felt it would fit their general vibe, and it's a GORGEOUS location!!! Even though it was raining pretty hard outside, our session together went off without a hitch, thanks to the beautiful greenhouse pictured above. Carolina Home and Garden is the newest addition to the Dreammaker's Wedding Estates wedding venues, and you can check them out here.
After the initial "ok there's some random person taking our pictures" wore off, their personalities really shined through, and I was able to really get a feel for the love they share.
