Awards and Accolades






2023

January 2023 - I was recognized for superior image making with Professional Photographers of America’s Master Artist degree. The degree was presented to me by PPA president Kira Derryberry, M.Photog.Cr., CPP, at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, in Louisville, KY, in January 2023.

 The Master Artist degree is an achievement of the highest caliber. It means that I have met the standards of excellence set by PPA. I have been awarded the Master Artist degree in recognition of my superior photographic competence and enhancement of images with artistic techniques as demonstrated through image excellence, advanced education, and service to the profession.


2022

September 2022 - Professional Photographers of America’s International Photographic Competition (IPC), 3 of my images, “Breaking Free”, “Spiritual Awakening”, and “Mistress of Mirrors” were accepted into the General (Merit) Collection.

March 2022 - My image, Bubblegum Craze, was featured in the March 2022 issue of Professional Photographer Magazine. It can be found here


2021

September 2021 - Professional Photographers of America’s International Photographic Competition (IPC), All 4 of my images were accepted into the General (Merit) Collection. Additionally, Bubblegum Craze, Through the Looking Glass (a remake of “We are All Mad Here” from the previous year), and Wednesday Mourning went on to be accepted into the Imaging Excellence Collection, earning a Platinum Medal. May 2021 - “Bubblegum Craze” was in the top 10 of PPA’s Southeast District Photographic Competition, Artist Category, earning recognition as a Grand Imaging Award Finalist.

March 2021 - “Bubblegum Craze” earned Third place in Professional Photographers of North Carolina’s annual competition, Master Artist category. Four other images of mine earned Merit status and were on exhibition at Carolina Photo Expo in Cary, NC: “Through the Looking Glass”, “I Just Work Here”, “Mermaid Soul”, and “A Warm Embrace”.


2020

October 2020 - “I Wanna Play With You”, was accepted into the Loan Collection of Professional Photographers of America's 2020 International Photographic Competition. As a result, my image will be published in the prestigious Loan Collection book.

February 2020 - Two of my images placed in Professional Photographers of North Carolina’s Master Artist competition, earning Second and Third place.

The Loan Collection images will all be published in the much-anticipated "Loan Collection" book by Marathon Press. Titled "I wanna play with you", it will be in the International Photographic Exhibition alongside other top photographic works from the competition and traveling and special invitational displays.

This image, titled “Just Let Me In”, was also chosen to be published in the 2019 Showcase Collection Book.

2019

August 2019 — My creative self-portrait was accepted into the General (Merit) Collection of Professional Photographers of America's 2019 International Photographic Competition. It was on exhibit at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, January 19-21, 2020. This International Photographic Exhibition is held in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention and expo for professional photographers. Further, this image was selected to be in the Showcase Collection book, along with other top images from the General Collection.
